American Heritage Schools - Broward Campus seeks an Elementary Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The classroom teacher will educate and support students, build positive relationships, and create engaging tasks aligned to the curriculum.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining communications with parents. The role requires a Florida teaching license and prior K-12 teaching experience, with opportunities for professional development and after-school

Qualifications

• Preferred minimum three years teaching experience in a K-12 instructional setting.
• Valid Florida State Teaching License or single subject teaching credential; ESOL endorsed, ESE certification preferred.
• B.A./B.S. in education from an accredited institution or B.F.A. for fine arts instructors.
• Professional experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate mastery of content knowledge.
• Plan and implement learning tasks with purpose and innovation; follow curriculum framework/scope and sequence.
• Differentiate and modify learning tasks according to student need; implement accommodations as directed.
• Proactively communicate with parents and staff; prepare progress reports and attend conferences.
• Be an active contributor to the school’s curriculum and participate in PLCs.
