Job summary

CALEX SPORTS INC is seeking an energetic After School Dance Teacher to lead dance sessions at Bay Area elementary schools. This in-person, part-time role offers flexible weekday hours and pay of $50-$65 per hour.

Classes run 1–1.5 hours between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, with 8–16 students aged 5–10. You’ll manage attendance, communicate with parents and staff, and provide feedback after each session.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old at application submission.
• Experience teaching or playing pickleball/tennis preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids with strong classroom management.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality and a professional, upbeat approach.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must have own car and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage classes of 8–16 students aged 5–10.
• Teach different dance forms to elementary kids.
• Attend up to two unpaid training/shadowing days.
• Transport equipment and set up for each class.
• Take attendance and sign in/out students.

Job Description:

We are a provider of after-school dance classes for Grades K-3 in various elementary schools across the Bay Area. Currently, we are seeking dynamic and experienced instructors to join our team. This part-time position involves teaching dance to elementary school children, managing classes, and ensuring a positive and engaging learning environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Class Management:

• Can manage a class size of 8 - 16 students with ages ages 5-10 years old
• Can teach different forms of dance to elementary school kids.

Training and Preparation:

• Attend a maximum of two-day unpaid training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
• Transport equipment if needed and set up for each class.

Administrative Tasks:

• Take attendance and sign in/out students for each class.
• Interact with parents and school office staff as necessary.
• Provide feedback for each student by the end of the session.

Documentation:

• Capture a few pictures each session of kids in action.

Requirements:

• Must be 19+ years old upon application submission.
• Previous teaching or playing experience in pickleball or tennis is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and possess effective classroom management skills.
• Flexibility, reliability, punctuality, and a professional, enthusiastic approach.

• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check and TB test before working.

Locations:

Programs are offered at multiple schools across the Bay Area. Candidates must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.

Schedule:

Classes are 1 - 1.5 hours long, starting between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Friday. Work two or more days per week, with a maximum of 2-5 hours per week.
