Summary

As part of an exciting Fine and Performing Arts Expansion, New Bedford Public Schools is looking for a dynamic and passionate Elementary Dance Teacher. Dance plays a vital role in inspiring creativity, cultural expression, and a sense of belonging among our students. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, committed to equity and inclusion, and eager to contribute to our diverse community.

Responsibilities

• Be a creative and innovative educator that demonstrates mastery and enthusiasm for the content and its pedagogy.
• Teach dance using a variety of dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
• Apply positive classroom management techniques, respond to student diversity, and collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents.
• Maintain excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills with colleagues, administrators, and parents.

• Rate: In accordance with the Unit A contract found here
