Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification, strongly preferred.
• ESL certification preferred for all ELA teachers.
• Ability to work with various classroom technology programs.

Responsibilities

• Design, write and use lesson plans aligned to charter curriculum and review processes.
• Ensure plans accommodate differences in student learning styles.
• Teach subjects per TEA guidelines, charter policies and regulations.
• Use materials and technology to support diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with special education for IEP modifications.
• Collaborate with staff to meet instructional goals and methods.
• Manage teacher aide and volunteer assignments.
• Incorporate technology to strengthen instruction.
• Prepare students for assessments with formal and informal testing.
• Oversee extracurricular duties and sponsor approved activities.
• Maintain professional relationships with parents, students and colleagues.
• Participate in faculty meetings and staff committees.
