Responsibilities

• Assist and support the classroom teacher with reading and math instruction; working with small groups or individual students.
• Assist the teacher in monitoring student progress by maintaining records and providing feedback as requested.
• Take directions for instruction from the classroom teacher. Work in collaboration with teacher(s) using developmentally appropriate practices.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques and strategies to assist in managing behavior throughout the school routine including transition times, lunch, and recess.
• Maintain professional learning and growth by attending provided training.
• Other duties, as assigned.
