Job summary

Plainville Community Schools is seeking a Building Substitute for Wheeler Elementary School to support grades PreK-5. The daily substitute will follow prepared lesson plans and maintain a positive classroom environment. Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree.

Excellent communication and the ability to work with diverse students, including those with special needs, are essential. Compensation is $125 per day, increasing to $150 per day if certified, and a national background check is required

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to follow teacher instructions.
• Ability to work with a variety of students across grade levels PreK-5.
• Reliable, flexible and positive attitude; capable of handling diverse classroom needs.

Responsibilities

• Follow lesson plans left by the teacher.
