Job summary

Empowerment Academy Charter School in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a dedicated Bilingual (Spanish Only) Teacher for K–3 to deliver push-in and pull-out instruction and to support multilingual learners.

Qualifications

• Must hold a New Jersey Bilingual Education certificate (CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate).
• Experience supporting K–3 students in push-in and pull-out settings.
• Ability to deliver English Language Development and bilingual instruction.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction to K–3 students in push-in and pull-out settings.
• Deliver ELD and bilingual instruction aligned to standards and WIDA descriptors.
• Support listening, speaking, reading and writing in English and Spanish.
• Differentiate instruction for diverse language levels and needs.
• Utilize scaffolded strategies to support content comprehension.

Empowerment Academy Charter School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Bilingual (Spanish Only) Teacher to support students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade within a push-in and pull-out instructional model. The ideal candidate will provide targeted language support, promote academic achievement, and differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners. This role requires close collaboration with classroom teachers to ensure equitable access to grade-level curriculum for bilingual and multilingual students.

Base Salary SY27: $68,500 - $88,500

*Additional stipends and bonuses available.

Requirements

Candidates MUST either hold a New Jersey Department of Education CE, CEAS or Standard Certificate in Bilingual Education.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction to K-3 students in both push-in (in-class) and pull-out (small group) settings
• Deliver targeted English Language Development (ELD) and/or bilingual instruction aligned to grade-level standards, the WIDA Can Do Descriptors, and ELD WIDA Standards
• Support students in developing listening, speaking, reading and writing skills in both English and Spanish
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse language proficiency levels and varied student learning needs
• Utilize scaffolded instructional strategies to support comprehension of academic content
