Job summary

LifeWise Academy Inc. is seeking a part-time, non-exempt LifeWise teacher to bring Bible education to public school students during school hours. The ideal candidate participates in church life, communicates effectively, and is committed to redemptive teaching strategies.

The role involves implementing LifeWise curriculum, maintaining records, attending trainings and summits, and promoting the religious mission of LifeWise within the classroom and community.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience with students in a school setting.
• Complete the LifeWise Teacher Certification Course within 30 days of the start date and before teaching.
• Participate in the annual LifeWise Summit.
• Attend at least one Teachers' Lounge or LifeWise Meet-Up per year.
• Stay up to date on training and updates via LifeWise email.
• Utilize LifeWise curriculum to plan lessons and customize where appropriate.
• Implement LifeWise curriculum in the classroom.
• Invest in connecting with students through relationships and prayer.
• Maintain an organized, encouraging classroom environment with redemptive discipline.
• Submit attendance and keep records; maintain rosters and permissions.
• Prepare information for substitutes and maintain classroom.
• Promote LifeWise's religious mission in duties and interactions.
• Retirement plan, including employer match.

Responsibilities

• Share LifeWise curriculum and gospel in a classroom setting to public school students.
• Build relationships with students and maintain an engaging, redemptive classroom environment.
• Coordinate with program director and school personnel for schedule changes and student well-being.

Education

LifeWise Teacher Certification Course

Two years classroom teaching experience
