Meade County Schools David T. Wilson Elementary School in Brandenburg, Kentucky is seeking an Elementary Basketball Coach for a part-time position to lead school interscholastic programs. The role includes planning, organizing practices, teaching fundamental skills, and promoting sportsmanship among students.

The Coach will verify eligibility, supervise activities, and support student athletes with positive guidance. Immediate start; prior school-coaching experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; at least 64 semester hours from an accredited college.
• One year of experience coaching in a school athletic program.
• Criminal records background checks.

Responsibilities

• Promote programs in the schools and community.
• Plan the assigned program and organize practices.
• Teach fundamentals, team play, strategy, and rules.
• Promote good sportsmanship and self-control.
• Check eligibility including insurance coverage and parent consent.
• Provide positive role modeling, support and guidance.
• Conduct learning experiences with small groups of student athletes.
• Recommend equipment, supplies and uniforms as needed.
