Job summary

Paradise Valley Unified School District is seeking a Band and/or Strings Teacher for various elementary schools. The position is a non-interim, part-time to full-time role (FTE 0.25–1.0) with dates from 7/27/2026 to 5/27/2027, reporting to the site administrator.

The role focuses on developing students' performance skills across Band, Chorus, Theater and Dance, delivering instruction within established curriculum, and collaborating with staff to support district improvement plans.

Qualifications

• Requires AZ Teaching Certificate with Endorsements.
• SEI Endorsement Required.
• Criminal Background Clearance and AZ IVP Fingerprint Card.

Responsibilities

• Advises parents/guardians of student progress to communicate expectations.
• Assess student progress toward objectives and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborates with staff and community resources to improve student outcomes.
• Coordinates curriculum in action opportunities for authentic assessments.
