Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Successful prior teaching experience is a plus.
• State Certification as an Art Teacher or as required for position.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers school art curriculum consistent with district goals and objectives.
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials and translates lesson plans into learning experiences.
• Teaches knowledge and skills in art, including crafts, drawing, painting, design, and art history to students.
• Conducts ongoing assessment of student skills and learning in artistic techniques and expression and adjusts instruction accordingly.
• Organizes and maintains record-keeping, grading, and reporting for student activities and attendance.
