Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience planning instructional activities and managing classroom projects.
• Preparing and maintaining accurate records.
• Communicating effectively with students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekly art instruction to elementary students to develop artistic skills, creativity, and appreciation of art history and culture.
• Implement district-approved art curriculum aligned with educational standards.
• Develop engaging lessons that support diverse learning needs including ELL, SPED, and EE students.
• Maintain art tools, equipment, and classroom materials.
• Manage classroom supplies and ensure safe use of artistic tools and materials.
• Promote art programs through student displays, exhibits, and events.
• Monitor students to maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
• Prepare documentation such as lesson plans, purchase orders, and program records.
• Research and write grants to support and enhance the art program.
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate art concepts across subject areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
