Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• Prior electroplating or surface characterization experience.
• Experience preparing plating solutions and maintaining bath chemistry.
• Knowledge of electrochemical principles and common plating systems (Ni, Cu, Ag, Sn).
• Ability to work safely with wet chemistries and follow PPE/waste-handling rules.
• Strong experimental organization, documentation, and data analysis skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication; able to work independently or with teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, analyze, and optimize electroplating baths and chemical solutions.
• Plan and execute laboratory plating trials, process evaluations, and scale-up activities.
• Monitor coating performance through thickness, adhesion, appearance, and related tests.
• Analyze bath chemistry and process data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Calibrate, maintain, and operate laboratory instrumentation for process control.
• Document procedures, observations, data, and conclusions in notebooks and digital systems.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to project teams and leaders.
• Collaborate with R&D teams to develop and validate electroplating processes and technologies.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, health, safety, and waste-management requirements.
