Job summary

Raytheon Vision Systems seeks an Electroplating Process Engineer in Lompoc, CA, to join the 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group. You will support fabrication operations, optimize plating processes, and own manufacturing activities for plating equipment.

You'll work in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment applying advanced materials and 3D integration to RF devices and EO imaging systems. Onsite role with strong emphasis on process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in electroplating, material science, chemical/ manufacturing engineering, wafer fabrication or semiconductor environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for electroplating processes in a wafer fabrication clean room.
  • Maintain and optimize processes, train personnel, and ensure safe operations.
  • Own and support manufacturing activities for plating processes and equipment.
  • Maintain process controls; troubleshoot issues to improve yields and meet specs.
  • Document operating instructions and support continuous improvement initiatives.

We have an immediate opportunity for an Electroplating Process Engineer to join our 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group. What You Will Do
  • Support fabrication operations by providing technical support in fabrication processes; working with a team of technicians and engineers in a wafer fabrication clean room setting.
  • Maintaining current processes, optimizing existing processes, and training in safe and efficient operations of the Electroplating process cells.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for supporting the manufacturing activities of plating processes and equipment.
  • Sustaining processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment.
  • Maintaining statistical process controls for process optimization; trouble shoot and resolve process issues to support the manufacturing process and improve work cell process yields.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in Electroplating, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engieering, Wafer Fabrication and/or Semiconductor.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience in a 200mm manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with sustaining existing electroplating processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows, maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment.
  • Ability to solve technical problems, project ownership, meeting deadlines, and multitasking.
  • Thorough sense of ownership, drive, and dedication to continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including technical writing for summarizing data and findings, writing process and equipment specifications and work instructions.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
