Job summary

FutureSoft Consulting Inc. seeks an experienced Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) for a 13-week local contract in Lancaster, PA. The role requires at least 2 years of recent electrophysiology experience and Comfort with complex EP procedures in an acute-care setting.

The EP Tech will collaborate with EP physicians, nurses, and anesthesia staff to support diagnostic and interventional EP procedures, including left bundle branch pacing, Watchman, pulsed field ablation, and leadless devices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Electrophysiology Tech experience.
  • Recent experience in an electrophysiology laboratory.

Responsibilities

  • Assist electrophysiologists during diagnostic and interventional EP procedures.

  • Assist with catheter placement and procedural equipment within scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients and communicate changes in clinical status.
  • Maintain sterile technique and safe procedural environment.
  • Assist with vascular access setup and equipment preparation.
  • Operate and troubleshoot EP and cardiovascular equipment.
  • Participate in time-outs and patient safety checks.
  • Support implantation and management of cardiac rhythm devices.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff; ensure documentation.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrophysiology Technologist (EP Tech) for a 13-week local contract assignment in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

This role is ideal for an EP professional with at least 2 years of recent electrophysiology experience who is comfortable supporting complex cardiac electrophysiology procedures in an acute-care hospital environment.

The Electrophysiology Technologist will work closely with electrophysiologists, nurses, anesthesia staff, and other cardiovascular professionals to support diagnostic and interventional EP procedures. Candidates should have strong experience with standard EP cases as well as advanced procedures involving left bundle branch pacing, Watchman devices, pulsed field ablation, and leadless cardiac devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist electrophysiologists during diagnostic and interventional EP procedures.
  • Prepare the electrophysiology laboratory, equipment, supplies, and patient for scheduled procedures.
  • Support cardiac mapping, ablation, device implantation, and other electrophysiology procedures.
  • Assist with catheter placement and procedural equipment within the scope of practice.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly communicate changes in clinical status.
  • Support sterile technique and maintain a safe procedural environment.
  • Assist with vascular access setup, procedural supplies, and equipment preparation.
  • Operate and troubleshoot electrophysiology and cardiovascular equipment as appropriate.
  • Participate in procedural time-outs and patient safety checks.
  • Support implantation and management of cardiac rhythm devices.
  • Assist with advanced electrophysiology procedures, including left bundle branch pacing.
  • Support Watchman left atrial appendage closure procedures.
  • Assist with pulsed field ablation procedures.
  • Support placement and management of leadless cardiac devices.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other cardiovascular team members.
  • Maintain accurate and timely procedural documentation.
  • Follow infection prevention, radiation safety, and facility-specific clinical protocols.
  • Respond appropriately during cardiac or procedural emergencies.
  • Assist with patient transport, positioning, and post-procedure transition when required.
Required Experience

Candidates must have:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Electrophysiology Tech experience
  • Recent experience in an electrophysiology laboratory
  • Strong experience with routine EP procedures
  • Experience supporting complex electrophysiology cases
  • Experience with cardiac ablation procedures
  • Experience with cardiac device procedures
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced acute-care procedural environment
Required Advanced EP Experience

Candidates should have hands-on experience with:

  • Left bundle branch pacing
  • Watchman procedures
  • Pulsed field ablation
  • Leadless cardiac devices

Experience with these procedures is a major requirement for this assignment.

Required Certifications

Candidates must have:

  • BLS – Basic Life Support
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
  • RCIS – Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist
  • RCES – Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist

The requisition also references ARRT(R) or an applicable state imaging credential where required based on the candidate's professional background and facility requirements.

All required credentials must remain current throughout the assignment.

Schedule Requirements
  • Day Shift
  • Four 10-hour shifts per week
  • 40 hours per week
  • Typical shift start time is approximately 7:00 AM or 7:30 AM

  • Candidates should be flexible with scheduling when required for patient-care needs.
