Qualifications

  • Undergraduate freshman year completed and pursuing a bachelor’s or fifth year master’s in engineering.
  • GPA 3.0 or higher across coursework.
  • Statistical knowledge and ability to read mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team; leadership experience preferred.
  • U.S. work authorization without sponsorship; CPT/OPT considerations noted.

We are searching for the best talent for Electrophysiology Supply Chain (Engineers) Intern to be in Irvine, CA. The Intern term is from May to August, 2027. Full time requirement (40 hours per week). This role is hybrid with 2-3 days of in person work; however, there is a preference for fully in person work. 6 vacancies are currently available.

Purpose

This is an exciting chance to develop your skills and build a strong foundation in Supply Chain within Johnson & Johnson. Supply Chain Intern roles include New Product Development, Lifecycle Management, Tech Ops, and other Supply Chain areas. You will gain hands‑on experience of key practices, policies and programs in Supply Chain. This role offers valuable industry skills and professional development, including the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals to contribute to the organization’s success.

Responsibilities
  • Assist junior and senior level Engineers with the execution of project activities including but not limited to lab testing, drawing updates, data collection, statistical analysis, assembly inspection and measurement of tooling and jigs.
  • Support supply chain optimization for new and existing products in a multi‑functional setting.
  • Assist in multi‑functional team meetings and generate meeting minutes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to help determine root cause, develop mitigations and support corrective and preventative actions for supply chain related issues.
  • Evaluate products and processes to identify opportunities for quality improvement, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction.
  • Exercise judgment, with guidance and mentorship, within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for problem solving.
  • Ensure project deliverables are compliant to applicable standards, regulations, and procedures.
Examples of actions & milestones the Supply Chain Intern will complete include
  • Review specifications, engineering drawings, and test data, to resolve problems related to material changes, dimensional tolerances stack‑up, design requirements, manufacturing processes improvements, and cost.
  • Execute material tests and data collection.
  • Assist with material specification changes.
  • Inspect and test tools and fixtures after fabrication to ensure that they meet specifications.
  • Assist Engineers with the documentation and execution of process validation activities.
  • Align, inspire, and engage multi‑functional team members in each project with a one team, one‑win mindset.
  • Support meetings with all involved multi‑functional partners to keep projects on schedule and prevent production issues.
  • Support Johnson & Johnson Credo activities by engaging in local community events and charities, supporting a credo‑based culture.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or fifth year master’s degree in Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, with an expected graduation date between Dec 2027 – May 2029.
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, which is reflective of all college coursework.
  • Statistical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and understand Mechanical Drawings.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS Office Applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S., must not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H‑1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future.
  • Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually requires future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long‑term status that does not require company sponsorship.

Pay Transparency

The expected pay range for this position is between $23.50 per hour and $52.50 per hour but will be based on candidate's program year, discipline, degree and/or experience.

  • Co‑Ops and Interns are eligible for the following sick time benefits: up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington, up to 56 hours per calendar year.
