Job summary

Amergis is seeking an Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Bridgeport, CT. The EP RN specializes in caring for patients undergoing EP studies, ablations, and pacemaker/ICD implementations in a dedicated EP lab.

Requires active RN license and relevant EP/cath lab experience; ACLS may be required by contract. The role includes preprocedure assessment, procedures care, rhythm monitoring, sedation administration, and thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• ACLS may be required by client contract.
• Minimum of 2 years EP or cath lab experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• TB questionnaire or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Preprocedure assessment of patients.
• Direct patient care during electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac rhythms during procedures.
• Administer medications including sedation as applicable.
• Ensure documentation compliance.

The EP (Electrophysiology) RN specializes in working with patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac electrophysiology procedures such as EP studies, ablations, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and more in a specialized EP lab. The EP (Electrophysiology) RN role involves preprocedure assessment, direct patient care during procedures, monitoring of hemodynamic and cardiac rhythms, administration of medications including sedation, and documentation compliance.

Minimum Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a current license in the state they are working
• ACLS may be required by client contract
• Minimum of 2 years EP or cath lab blended experience highly preferred
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
• Current BLS
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
