EP Lab Description

Mayo Clinic Arizona’s electrophysiology (EP) lab focuses on collaboration and growth. The team performs complex electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implants in a highly specialized environment.

• Pacemaker implants
• Defibrillator implants
• Biventricular device implants
• Lead extractions
• Electrophysiology studies and ablatives: SVT, VT, atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, PVC, AV node

Essential Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate from an accredited radiography program

Preferred Qualifications

• One year experience as an interventional radiology or cardiac cath lab technologist preferred
• Experience as an interventional radiology, cardiac cath, or electrophysiology lab technologist
• Ability to improvise standard procedures
• Ability to work independently and in a team, directing patient flow for operational efficiency
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Licensing and Certification

• ARRT‑R and Arizona CRT required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire and maintained thereafter
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 6 months of hire
• CV, CI, VI, RCIS or RCES required within two years of hire
• Certification in Cardiac or Vascular Intervention by the ARRT preferred
