Job summary

UNC Health's Rex Healthcare in Rocky Mount, NC seeks an Electrophysiology (EP) Cardiologist to join a busy Cath Lab team. 100% EP with a Monday–Friday schedule, 3–4 days in lab and 1–2 days in outpatient clinic; no nights, weekends, or call.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of an ACGME-certified fellowship.
• Board certification in Cardiology and active medical licensure.
• ACLS certification and DEA as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional medical services to patients.
• Exercise independent professional judgment in care and treatment.
• Order and prescribe diagnostics and treatments; manage medications as appropriate.
• Counsel patients and families and provide health education.
• Refer patients to specialists to ensure multidisciplinary care.
• Document care for medical records and coding for billing.
• Supervise other medical professionals.
• Uphold medical ethics.
