Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a Product Tester in Wisconsin to inspect and test control products, panels and components to ensure they meet customer specifications and company quality standards.

You will work with electronic test equipment, read schematics, perform final inspections, document defects, and assist production while supporting process improvements. A electronics background is required.

Qualifications

• One year of college coursework in electronics, or a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Three or more years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience with testing electronics and interpreting schematics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examine and test control products, components for flaws before shipping.
• Perform final inspection and prep work prior to shipping or stock.
• Pull materials per work or customer orders promptly.
• Maintain technical competency on current products and industry changes.
• Assemble and test motors, brakes, encoders, and fiber optic components.
• Test and troubleshoot standard pre-engineered products.
• Read instruments and compare readings to specifications; reject defects.
• Record defects and load data into databases as necessary.
• Follow safety rules and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Support production and complete special projects as assigned.
