Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in electronics or equivalent technical training.
  • Minimum 2–3 years experience with electronic combat range systems.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable for work vehicles.
  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must pass background checks including SSN, driver record, and criminal check.

Responsibilities

  • Operating and maintaining all Weapons Scoring systems.
  • Replacing components and wiring circuits.
  • Repairing simple electronic equipment.
  • Conducting test readings using digital multi‑meters, oscilloscopes, power meters/loads and video monitors.
  • Updating/installing programs, editing databases, and working with peripheral devices on computers.
  • Operating UHF/VHF/LMR, telephonic communications and two‑way equipment.
  • Assisting with general maintenance using common hand and power tools.

SA-TECH supports munitions delivery training for Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps air and ground crews through USAF Air Combat Command's Primary Training Ranges (PTRs). We deliver O&M services to PTR bombing and gunnery (B&G) ranges and electronic warfare (EW) ranges, supporting remote threat emitters, mission data processing, range communications, weapons impact and electronic combat scoring.

Position

We are currently hiring an Electronics Technician Maintenance I to perform systems maintenance and operations of range systems at our facility in the Mountain Home Range Complexin Bruneau, ID.

Responsibilities
  • Operating and maintaining all Weapons Scoring systems.
  • Replacing components and wiring circuits.
  • Repairing simple electronic equipment.
  • Conducting test readings using common instruments such as digital multi‑meters, oscilloscopes, power meters/loads and video monitors.
  • Operating computers to include updating/installing programs, editing databases, working with peripheral devices, and printing documents.
  • Operating UHF/VHF/LMR, telephonic communications and two‑way communications equipment.
  • Performing wild land fire suppression within the boundaries of the B&G range.
  • Operating wild land firefighting equipment and vehicles.
  • Assisting with general maintenance to include the use of common hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, drills and wrenches.
Work Conditions
  • Conditions will vary as work is to be performed outdoors as well as indoors.
  • You must be able to climb ladders, work in elevated areas and confined spaces and have the capability to work on high‑voltage and radio‑frequency circuits.
  • You must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.
  • Job demands will require physical dexterity and flexibility and you must be physically able to sit, stand, kneel and climb.
  • Overtime will be required at times to support operations.
Requirements

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Associate's degree in electronics field or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school, or equivalent military technical training.
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience working assigned electronic combat range systems.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Ability to understand the basic operation of a Windows based PC, and be able to document maintenance actions.
  • Current driver’s license required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
  • U.S. citizenship required and you must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Secret Clearance prior to hire date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
  • All candidates will be required to pass a consumer report and/or consumer investigation to include SSN, Driver Record and Criminal Background Investigation.
