Job summary

Austin Water seeks an Electronics Technician III to lead installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic communication, computer, and instrumentation systems at the South First Support Center in Austin, TX. Preferred experience includes Genetec Security Center, structured cabling, and network integration.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent; four years in electronics repair/maintenance.
• Twelve semester hours in electronics, engineering technology, or related field may substitute for one year of experience.
• Experience with electronic components, testing, calibration, and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots and repairs electronic equipment.
• Maintains data and communication lines.
• Operates and calibrates test equipment; calibrates and maintains equipment across sites.
• Designs and installs circuits for electronic components and tests for defects.
