Job summary

Centurum in San Diego, CA seeks an Electronics Technician I to apply basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manuals and documents. You will work under supervision while gaining guidance from senior technicians and supervisors.

Responsibilities include overhauls and repairs on shipboard electronics systems (HF, RF, TACAN, NMT, ESM, and more); you will use logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes, and you must maintain a Secret DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years current C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.

Job description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Electronics Technician I applies basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

Experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems: High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems.

Operational knowledge of URN-25, WSC-3, USQ-122, SSR-1, URT-23, DAMA, WRL-8, STC-2 a plus.

REQUIRED SKILLS/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Two (2) years current C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts, while using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.

PREFERRED SKILLS

Compensation: $34.25 - $41 an hour.

Compensation for positions at Centurum vary depending on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, location, responsibilities, skill set, and level of experience.
