Job summary

Aries Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to perform complex wiring, assembly, and testing for vehicle upfits.

You will use fixtures, hand tools, and soldering irons, following blueprints and electrical schematics to build and diagnose electro-mechanical systems. The role requires high school completion or electronics training, with 2+ years in electronics tech or 5 years field experience.

Qualifications

  • Read blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Perform complex wiring and testing of components.
  • Work with electrical assemblies per documentation.
  • Troubleshoot finished products and assemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electro-mechanical devices using fixtures and hand tools.
  • Read engineering drawings and BOMs to build upfits.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment.
  • Log time and use 5S/LEAN manufacturing practices.
  • Support assemblers in diagnosing issues and documenting material usage.

Trouble shooting level Electrical Assembly Technician that performs complex wiring, assembly, and testing of components and assemblies to be installed and upfit into customer vehicles. This person is a technical expert in all duties and responsibilities related to electrical portion of vehicle upfit activities.

  • Perform all job duties following 5S/LEAN Manufacturing requirements and according to all safety and health policies.
  • Assemble complex electro-mechanical devices and products using fixtures, hand tools, and soldering irons.
  • Utilize engineering drawings, electrical schematics, BOM’s and other documents as required.
  • Troubleshoot finished products, assemblies, and systems.
  • Assist assemblers with diagnosing and troubleshooting faulty equipment.
  • Accurately account for materials per processes and procedures.
  • Log time into the computer.
Required Skills:
  • Be able to read and understand blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Must have a good knowledge of basic hand tools and the ability to use them.
  • Be able to use small power tools (drills, Dremel, drill press, etc.)
  • Be able read and understand Digital Volt Meters.
  • Be able to use and understand how to use Test Equipment.
  • Be able to solder through hole and surface mount circuit boards.
  • Be able to read, understand and communicate the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to troubleshoot electronic devices.
Required Experience and Education:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 year of electronic technology or 5 years of field experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of electronic technology degree or 5 years of relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in electronic assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot electronic circuits to component level.
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to stand and use hands to handle or touch objects, tools or controls.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stand, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, talk or hear, and use foot/feet to operate machinery.
  • Must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally move up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.
