Job summary

M.C. Dean seeks an Electronics Technician 2 to join the Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in the Tysons/Chantilly area. You will install, maintain, and test electronic security services for federal, local, and commercial clients, including access control, CCTV, and intruder systems.

Role requires hands-on installation, preventive maintenance, and team leadership on smaller projects. ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance is required or the ability to obtain it; a valid driver's license is needed.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED and/or electronics training with a strong electrical background.
• Graduation from an electronics program or an electrical apprenticeship.
• Experience with security systems installation and maintenance.
• Clear communication and teamwork skills; ability to lead small projects.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain electronic security systems including intrusion detection and access control.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and inventory.
• Lead small/moderate service projects and document toolbox talks.

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 2 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities In this role: * You will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems. * Performing preventive maintenance requirements. * Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory. * Leading teams on small moderately complex service projects.

• Conducting and documenting daily tool box talks.
• Installing all head end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Providing on-site software commissioning and testing. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance required, MUST be willing and able to obtain a polygraph Education: * HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
• Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
• Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program
• An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
• Requires a Valid driver's license. This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. * Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy

Required Progressive Experience: * 4+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs

• 3 years of the above experience must be focused in electronic security systems
• Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications: * Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
