Position Overview

We are hiring an Electronics Technician 1 for our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) Strategic Business Unit. The role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audiovisual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers.

Responsibilities
  • Execute technical tasks in field operations: installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems.
  • Conduct site surveys, configure hardware and software, test systems, and provide technical support to customers.
  • Follow the company safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW) and enforce safety policies.
  • Analyze project drawings for constructability and accuracy.
  • Track and inventory tools, perform daily inspections and inventory records.
  • Maintain clean work areas and perform tool inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Participate in daily safety and project meetings, ORM, and PITCO planning and execution.
  • Install raceways, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, panels, and ensure proper grounding per NEC standards.
  • Terminate, test, and configure electronic devices, network, and IT equipment.
  • Rack and stack head‑end equipment and perform cable terminations following industry standards.
  • Communicate consistently with project teams and customers, providing constructive feedback.
  • Plan and prioritize tasks, embodying the company vision, mission, and values.
  • Maintain quality standards for installation and testing.
  • Mentor and train junior team members in installation techniques, codes, standards, and best practices.
  • Use Infralink and other tools to document daily work tasks and track progress on job sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license. Optional company vehicle use; acceptable driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience on multiple systems and customer programs.
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • U.S. citizenship; ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Strong knowledge of safety plans, NEC standards, and network cabling.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vendor certifications in IDS, ACS, CCTV systems (e.g., Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems, Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows).
  • Graduation from an electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Additional three years of electronics installation and/or maintenance experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
  • Demonstrated time‑management and organization skills.
  • Team‑work ability.
Abilities & Physical Requirements
  • Lift, carry, or move objects up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Work at heights up to 60 feet and use scaffolds, aerial lifts, and ladders.
  • Perform repetitive tasks such as walking, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • Maintain good vision and hearing; ability to see in color and speak English.
  • Recognize potential problems and apply general rules to produce solutions.
  • Use standard ladders within weight limits and follow safe lifting techniques.
