Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) unit in the Tysons area.

The role focuses on installing and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, and CCTV systems for federal, local, and commercial customers across high-growth markets. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, inspections, and inventory, with opportunities to lead small installation projects and perform on-site software

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills
• Requires TS/SCI clearance and willingness to polygraph
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive company vehicle

We are seeking an Electronics Technician 1 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.

Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electronic security systems. Performing preventive maintenance requirements. Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.

• * Leading teams on small moderately complex installation projects.

• Conducting and documenting daily tool box talks.
• Installing all head end equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
• Programming head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
• Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
• Providing on-site software commissioning and testing.
• Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory

Qualifications Clearance/Citizen Type:

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TS/SCI clearance REQUIRED - MUST be willing and able to obtain a polygraph.

• * HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or
• * Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or
• * Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program * An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities
• * Requires a Valid driver's license This position may require ongoing or intermittent use of a company vehicle. * Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy

Required Progressive Experience:

* 2+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.

• Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
• Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
• Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.

Desired / Advantageous Qualifications:

* Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.
