Job description

As an Electronics Technician 1, you will support troubleshooting, repair, reconditioning, and testing of FAA electronic hardware. This entry-level role fits a mechanically inclined, detail-oriented candidate who can learn established processes, follow technical instructions, and work with senior technicians to meet production and quality goals. Prior electronics experience is helpful, but not required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Diagnosis and Troubleshooting: Identify and analyze electronic hardware issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Repair and Reconditioning: Perform repairs and reconditioning of FAA electronic hardware to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough testing of repaired equipment to ensure it meets FAA and Leidos standards and specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of repairs, including troubleshooting steps, parts used, and testing results.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a diverse team of technicians to address complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Compliance: Adhere to all Leidos regulations and guidelines throughout the repair and reconditioning process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the electronics repair department.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanical or electrical aptitude and willingness to learn electronic repair processes.
  • Ability to follow technical instructions and learn to read drawings or schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Electronics Technology or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Electronics Technician, with a focus on hardware repair.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
