Job summary

Drilling Products Inc. seeks an Electronics Systems Engineer to support repair, testing, and production of electronic systems and components used in mining and downhole environments.

This hands-on role combines electronics engineering, quality management, incoming inspection, and vendor coordination in a small-team setting. You will ensure products meet standards for explosive atmospheres, troubleshoot and repair assemblies, update PCB designs, and maintain QMS documentation while coordinating

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electronic assemblies.
• Understanding of embedded systems and basic firmware concepts.
• Experience with incoming component and product inspection and quality control.
• Familiarity with Quality Management System documentation (ISO 9001).
• Ability to work with regulated products for explosive atmospheres and harsh environments.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products comply with standards for use in explosive atmospheres.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and diagnose electronic assemblies; inspect with microscope; review schematics/PCB layouts.
• Improve existing products; debug hardware; replace obsolete components; update PCB design files.
• Maintain QMS and quality records; track non-conformances; manage corrective actions; perform incoming inspections.
• Test performance and validate reliability for field use; support firmware/hardware interactions.
• Coordinate with vendors to provide design files, BOMs, and kits; ensure quality issues are resolved.
• Develop reports on repairs, inventory, orders, and project progress.
