Job summary

AE is seeking an experienced electronics repair technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of industrial PCBs down to the component level. You will perform functional tests and make final adjustments to ensure proper operation.

The role requires reading engineering docs and schematics, using oscilloscopes and meters, and collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to maintain quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a two-year degree in electronics or related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 4-8 years of industrial electronic experience.
• Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, Huntron, Pinpoint, IC programmers or test fixtures.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment to determine component-level needs for repair and/or replacement.
• Hand solder surface mount and through-hole components to complete repairs.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and diagnose failures.
• Read and interpret engineering instructions, manuals, customer specifications or schematics when available.
• Collaborate with other technicians and engineering staff as needed.
• Update progress notes documenting steps taken to repair the unit.
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety standards.
• Maintain documentation and maintenance records for units/customers.
• Communicate with Purchasing, Engineering, Sales, Customer Service, Logistics, and IT about unit status.
