Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated seeks an Electronics Repair Technician to maintain and restore advanced electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. You will diagnose, repair, and document activities to ensure full functionality and uphold high technical standards.

You will troubleshoot down to component level, service electromechanical equipment, and collaborate with engineering to improve repair processes.

Qualifications

  • Technical associate degree or equivalent military training – required.
  • 2–5 years of related electronics repair experience – required.
  • Strong troubleshooting across electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced electronic equipment down to the component level.
  • Service mechanical and electromechanical systems including pumps, chambers, and laser welders.
  • Safely diagnose and repair high-voltage power supplies and test equipment.
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Job Description

As an Electronics Repair Technician, you play a critical role in maintaining and restoring advanced electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems that support high-performance equipment used in aerospace, defense, and industrial applications. You will leverage your diagnostic expertise and hands‑on repair experience to troubleshoot complex issues, perform component‑level repairs, and ensure equipment is returned to full functionality. Your contributions help drive operational efficiency and uphold a high standard of technical excellence across the organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Troubleshoot and repair advanced electronic equipment down to the component level
  • Service mechanical and electromechanical systems, including variable transformers, pumps, laser welders, and environmental chambers
  • Safely diagnose and repair high‑voltage power supplies and associated test equipment
  • Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation across digital, analog, and logic circuitry
  • Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble complex mechanical and electronic assemblies
  • Apply analytical problem‑solving skills to resolve non‑standard electrical and mechanical issues
  • Accurately document repair activity, parts usage, and diagnostic findings in internal systems
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to support continuous improvement in repair processes
What You Need
Skills & Abilities
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions
  • Working knowledge of basic math for diagnostics and calculations
  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, database systems, and general systems navigation
  • Experience working with RF equipment and high‑voltage systems preferred
Experience & Education
  • Technical associate degree or equivalent military training – required
  • 2–5 years of related electronics repair experience – required

Salary Range

Salary Range: $39,000.00-$52,000.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
