Job summary

Motorola Solutions' Silvus Technologies subsidiary in West Los Angeles is seeking an Electronics Quality Technician-III to join the Operations - Quality Control team. The role supports StreamCaster MANET product development and manufacturing, with on-site hours 4:30 am to 1:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

You will lead inspection and repair of complex PCB assemblies, perform root-cause analysis, support RMAs, and collaborate with Engineering to resolve recurring issues while training junior

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 4 years hands-on electronics experience or an Associate degree in Electronics with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced soldering and rework proficiency (fine-pitch SMT, BGAs, micro coax).
• Strong troubleshooting using schematics and test instruments.
• Experience documenting and communicating technical findings to engineers.
• U.S. Person (citizenship or permanent residency) due to U.S. contracts.
• Background check and drug test clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead inspection and repair activities for complex PCB assemblies.
• Conduct root cause analysis and failure diagnostics using advanced tools.
• Perform functional testing and repair on RMAs.
• Support and train junior technicians on inspection, soldering, and ESD practices.
• Maintain and calibrate specialized test and diagnostic equipment.
• Collaborate with Engineering to resolve recurring product issues.
• Build and validate test fixtures and jigs for production verification.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
