Job summary

OMNI Flow Computers, Inc. in Sugar Land, TX seeks an Electronics Inspector and Tester responsible for testing, inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies to meet quality and performance standards.

You will perform software and firmware updates and diagnose PCB assemblies down to the component level. You will work with Engineering and Production to support manufacturing, repairs, and continuous product improvement, using test equipment, schematics, and documentation.

Qualifications

Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, plus 6–12 months of related experience.
Extensive electronics experience may substitute for education.
Proficient in English (verbal and written) and able to read schematics and procedures.
Knowledge of test equipment and safety procedures.
IPC J-STD-001 certificate is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electronic assemblies.
Perform software/firmware updates and maintain test fixtures.
Read diagrams, schematics, shop orders, and procedures.
Remove and replace components on PCB assemblies.
Test and QC inspect completed assemblies prior to shipment.
Diagnose PCB assemblies down to the component level.
Assist production with testing and repairing returned RMAs.
Use oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and other test instruments to verify performance.
Ensure conformance to specifications and document results.
