Job summary

SMT Corp. is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform visual inspections of electronic components within our purpose-built facility in Newtown, CT. You will use advanced test equipment and reference datasheet specifications to ensure parts meet customer requirements.

Qualified candidates will have strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in an ESD/FOD controlled environment while performing light warehouse duties and some cross-training in Value Added Services.

Qualifications

• High level of attention to detail, manual dexterity, ability to follow repetitive testing standards, and good eyesight.
• Requires ability to lift light loads up to 40 lbs and occasional ladder climbing up to 10 ft.
• Must be able to work in an ESD and FOD Lab controlled environment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake visual inspections of electronic components.
• Utilize state-of-the-art test equipment to perform detailed visual inspections.
• Research component information to compare components against datasheet specifications.
• Count and sort electronic components.
• Verify that all customer requirements are met.
• Perform light inventory duties.
• Cross-train for Value Added Services at SMT Corp. (Bake and Seal, Tape & Reel, etc.).
• Cross-train in different departments as needed (electrical and authenticity).
