This role is responsible for preparing engineering calculations and plans, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), evaluating PCB data and electro-mechanical assemblies, troubleshooting floor issues in real time, and tracking project schedules and deliverables to maintain consistent production flow.

Process Development & Manufacturing Support:

Develop, optimize, and document manufacturing processes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for PCB and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Provide real-time technical troubleshooting during manufacturing operations to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Analyze PCB layout data and panelization to ensure design and process compliance.

Review blueprints, schematics, specification sheets, and technical diagrams for modifications and engineering approval.

Design, specify, and/or fabricate custom fixtures and tooling to streamline assembly workflows.

Continuous Improvement & Quality Control:

Conduct root cause analysis on assembly and component failures, identify corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.

Collaborate with Quality teams on inspections, repairs, and rework processes in accordance with industry standards.

Provide guidance and technical support to inspection and assembly personnel.

Partner with the maintenance department to formulate equipment preventive maintenance plans.

NPI & Equipment Validation:

Participate in technical and design reviews for existing product lines and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Provide design-for-manufacturability (DFM) feedback and technical recommendations to customers.

Assist in the technical evaluation, procurement, and qualification of new manufacturing equipment, authoring and executing product/process validations.

Project Tracking & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Act as an engineering liaison between production supervisors, cross-functional staff, and senior leadership.

Establish project deliverable timelines, monitor milestones and budgets against expectations, and report variances or delays.

Prepare and deliver technical reports, project documentation, and updates to internal stakeholders and customers.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field).

Technical Skills:

Strong mechanical foundation with an emphasis on automation, machine programming, and basic electrical engineering principles.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.

Strong mathematical and physics calculation capabilities (rates, ratios, tolerances, and data analysis).

Knowledge of electronic component identification is required.

Must be able to pass Component ID and IPC-A-610 Solder Inspection training requirements.

Systems & Software:

Proficiency with Shop Floor Tracking Systems / Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., Aegis) is preferred.

Working knowledge of drafting tools and Microsoft Office applications.

Core Competencies: Analytical problem-solving ability, disciplined project planning skills, effective cross-functional communication, and the capacity to present technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
