Job summary

Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc. in Indiana, PA is seeking an SMT Programmer responsible for creating, updating and maintaining SMT programs for AOI, SPI, ensuring ECOs are implemented.

The role is in-person, with a 5/8 schedule, located at Quintech headquarters. You will program, optimize, and support manufacturing, read work instructions, and perform defect analyses to improve SMT performance.

Qualifications

• Experience with SMT manufacturing processes and related IPC standards.
• Familiarity with AOI and SPI programming environments.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering change orders.

Responsibilities

• Create, update and maintain SMT programs (AOI, SPI).
• Verify ECOs and ensure programs are up to date.
• Program transfers from database to SMT machines to improve efficiency.
• Read, follow and enforce company standards and procedures.
• Perform defect analyses and root-cause investigations.
• Provide program optimization and support to manufacturing.

Job description

Quintech Electronics and Communications, Inc. is seeking a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Programmer whose main responsibilities will include creating, updating and maintaining SMT programs including AOI, SPI machines. This role will ensure all programs are up to date and verify ECO's (Engineering change orders).

This position is full time – 5/8 schedule (7:00AM-3:30PM) - In Person Only

Located at our Quintech Electronics headquarters location in Indiana, PA!

Additional Duties:

• Program, optimization and support manufacturing
• Develop and implement a plan to eliminate on line program debug
• Root cause Defect analyses
• Read and follow work instructions, company standards and procedures.
• Perform tasks with high degree of care and attention to detail.
• Ensure all programs are up to date, and error free.
• Program transfers from computer database to SMT machines in a timely manner to help improve SMT efficiency.
• Perform other related tasks that are assigned and work overtime as needed.

• Mentor Graphic PCB design software
• Gerber viewers and editing software
• Panasonic placement machine,
• Koh Young AOI and SPI equipment

Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills
• Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
• Knowledge of SMT manufacturing process
• Knowledge of IPC standards related to SMT
