Job summary

Adtran is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities, supervise assemblers, technicians, and operators, and drive efficiency in electronic assembly and test processes. You will ensure quality, safety, and alignment with IPC/ESD/ISO standards while collaborating with engineering, quality, supply chain, and maintenance teams.

The role emphasizes on‑floor leadership, process improvement, and staff development to achieve throughput targets and high-quality output.

Qualifications

• 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lead teams and resolve conflicts, with strong written and verbal communication.
• Understand production processes, supply chain, and Lean methodologies.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office; familiarity with SPC methods and reporting.
• No travel is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operational staff to ensure productivity and policy adherence.
• Monitor workflow, takt times, and throughput to maintain line efficiency.
• Adjust staffing and processes to address bottlenecks or equipment issues.
• Implement procedures to improve efficiency, quality, and output.
• Assist in interviews and candidate qualifications.
• Communicate with team and other departments to ensure collaboration.
• Conduct performance evaluations for personnel and manage inventory.
• Identify opportunities for Lean/5S/Kaizen improvements.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper equipment usage.
