Job summary

Rocket EMS, Inc. seeks a Stockroom Clerk to ensure accurate storage and issuing of electronic components to production in Carson City. You will maintain inventory accuracy, pull parts for work orders, prepare complete production kits, and record material transactions in our ERP/MRP system.

This role requires meticulous attention to part numbers, lot and date codes, and traceability to support high-reliability PCBAs, with adherence to ESD and moisture-sensitive device handling where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Experience pulling materials for work orders and preparing production kits is desirable.
• Familiarity with serial/lot traceability and packaging is advantageous.
• Knowledge of ESD controls and MSD handling is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Store and organize electronic components, PCBs, hardware, and production materials.
• Pull components for work orders using BOMs, pick lists, and kit requirements.
• Prepare complete material kits for SMT, through-hole, and other PCBA areas.
• Verify part numbers, quantities, lot codes, date codes, and traceability before issuing materials.
• Record receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and location changes in the ERP/MRP system.
• Maintain proper identification and segregation of customer-owned inventory and nonconforming materials.
• Follow ESD, MSD, and other handling requirements for components.
• Monitor packaging, desiccants, humidity cards, and floor-life controls when applicable.
• Return unused components to stockroom and complete inventory transactions.
• Investigate shortages, discrepancies, incorrect part numbers, damaged packaging, or missing traceability.
• Support cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
• Maintain accurate bin locations and clearly labeled storage.
• Follow FIFO and other inventory-rotation rules.
• Coordinate with Production Control, Purchasing, Quality, and Manufacturing to resolve shortages and kitting issues.
