We are seeking an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join the Embedded Electronics group. As a member of the technical staff, the candidate will play a critical role in the development of next generation processing, computing and sensor/actuator hardware within the electronics division.
Members of the Embedded Electronics group support a variety of multi-disciplinary programs lasting an average of 12 to 18 months each. In addition to working on sponsored programs, group members are also encouraged to develop and participate in internally funded research and development programs.
In addition, an Electronic Hardware Design Engineer develops, tests, and oversees the manufacturing of electrical printed circuit boards (PCBs), analog and digital circuits, electronic equipment, sensors, motors, radar and navigation systems. This engineer develops the architecture, designs circuit, performs simulations, performs physical layout, verifies and tests designs. Performs a variety of engineering activities throughout the life cycle to support planning, design, test, deployment, and sustainment.
The Tailored Systems Business Area within Electronics Program Office directorate delivers first-of-a-kind field-ready microelectronics solutions in support of National Security missions. This role will support a large multi-disciplinary team as part of a long-standing, fast-paced contract with history of immense success. Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field. Master's degree preferred.
3-5 years experience in electrical engineering or related field.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Union ranges will be in compliance with the collective bargaining agreement's approved rates by location and role.
