Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an Electronics Engineer or Principal Electronics Engineer in Baltimore, MD. After initial training in Baltimore, you will travel to Palmdale, CA for a two-year assignment, with up to 10% travel.

You will support phase array sensor systems, provide test and integration expertise, and work with a multidisciplinary MS team. Clear communication and readiness for rotating schedules are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with airborne AESA radar/communications systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or System Engineering.
  • Willing to work on an occasional rotating schedule, including periodic shift work and weekend work.
  • Willing to work out of Baltimore for the initial training period and upon return from the two-year assignment in Palmdale, CA.
  • Willing to travel up to 10% (CONUS/OCONUS).
  • US Citizen with current/active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Clearance; ability to obtain/maintain SAP clearance.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Electronics Engineer / Principal Electronics Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD.

  • After an initial period of training for one year in Baltimore, and after acquiring all required security clearances, you will travel to Palmdale, CA for a two-year assignment.
What You’ll Get To Do

Be responsible for providing technical assistance with the installation and test support of a phase array sensor system on a platform. As the system knowledge expert, you will be working on an MS team and using sophisticated supported equipment with other engineers to provide the prime contractor with knowledge and assist with system operation. Other duties include mission support, providing monitoring and operational guidance.

Basic Qualifications For An Electronics Engineer

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in integration and test techniques, MATLAB, or related signal analysis tools; interfacing protocols, test equipment, and customer interaction.
  • Experience with RF and radar technologies.

Primary Level Salary Range: $87,600.00 - $131,400.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
