Job summary

Heron Power, based in Scotts Valley, CA, invites an Electrical Engineering Intern to assist with subsystem architecture design and ECAD management, including layout and schematic capture. You will work with the EE team on developing functional prototypes and cost analyses.

You will help develop bring-up procedures, run simulations, and test prototypes, gaining hands-on experience in power electronics and hardware validation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in EE is required or preferred.
• Experience with circuit simulation and ECAD tools is essential.
• Hands-on experience debugging and testing electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the role of ECAD librarian and review design components.
• Identify suitable components and evaluate alternatives.
• Verify circuit performance through simulation and prototype testing.
• Develop bring-up test plans and firmware/hardware requirements.
• Coordinate with firmware, test, and manufacturing teams for integration.
