Job summary

Varex Imaging Corporation in Salt Lake City is seeking a manufacturing assembler to perform a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or measurement product assembly tasks. You will follow documented processes, perform wiring, component installation, hand soldering, cable harnessing, and fitting with adherence to blueprint tolerances.

Safety, cleanliness, and teamwork are emphasized. The role includes inspecting and testing parts using precision equipment, adjusting processes

Qualifications

• Able to follow verbal and written instructions in the prevailing language spoken in the facility.
• Able to work with a trainer under close leadership.
• Experience with business tools (Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Responsibilities

• Assembles/processes product, parts and assemblies using hand tools, customized tooling, and/or semi-automated equipment.
• Follows written process/assembly documentation.
• Inspects and tests parts, assemblies and product using precision measuring and testing equipment.
• Adjusts process within defined ranges based on measured results.
• Adheres to all safety requirements.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Assists in maintaining efficient material flow through the work area.
• Actively participates on work area teams.
• Gains a basic understanding of material logistics.
• Participates in relevant training to gain understanding of business systems (e.g., Six Sigma, Quality).
