Job summary

ITW in Minnesota is seeking an assembly technician to assemble sub-assemblies and final products from electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical components. You will read drawings, use hand and power tools, and manage parts from floor to finish.

Specialized training includes Soldering, ESD, Hoist, Forklift, and safety programs. The position pays $17.75–$20.65 per hour and requires basic math, keyboarding, and teamwork in a quality-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Basic soldering skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend drawings, work-aids and safety documents.
• Build sub-assemblies and finished goods using hand tools, power tools and fixtures.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment.
• Retrieve parts from floor or overhead.
• Package and stock completed products.
• Maintain inventory levels and locations using FIFO practices.
• Adhere to 5S and Continuous Improvement practices.
• Handle hazardous materials as required.
