Job summary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics is seeking an Electronics Assembler II for the 2nd shift at our Lynnwood, WA facility. You will independently assemble products, prepare components, operate equipment, inspect work, and maintain documentation to ensure quality.

Emphasis on safety, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement. Minimum 2–5 years of assembly experience and the ability to interpret prints and wiring diagrams are required.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of assembly experience in manufacturing.
  • Ability to read production/engineering prints and wiring diagrams.
  • Strong communication skills and familiarity with basic computing.
  • Fine soldering capability or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Eligible for access to controlled data; U.S. persons only.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble Crane Electronics products following specs and standards.
  • Prepare components, operate equipment, inspect output, document results.
  • Set up and run assigned machinery and perform area housekeeping.
  • Maintain safety and follow OSHA and Crane policy.
  • Identify issues, report to supervisors, and participate in continuous improvement.

Crane Aerospace and Electronics is hiring an Electronics Assembler II (2nd Shift) at our Lynnwood, WA facility.

Job Summary

The Assembler works independently to assemble Crane Electronics products following military and industry standards. Responsibilities include preparing components, operating equipment, inspecting work, and maintaining documentation to ensure product quality.

Essential Functions
  • Perform assigned assembly tasks.
  • Prepare components prior to assembly: clean, mark, and inspect components, sub‑assemblies, and finished assemblies.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in established operations within 2–4 area processes.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed appropriately.
  • Set up and operate assigned equipment and machinery.
  • Observe proper health and safety procedures when handling hazardous chemicals.
  • Identify and report any difficulty that could affect correctness and quality to supervisors.
  • Understand daily demand from the Master Schedule Report for the cell(s).
  • Create IT, Facilities work orders, and Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) for quality and material issues, and assist in their resolution.
  • Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and attend team meetings for continuous improvement.
  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy, and identify safety concerns to implement solutions.
  • Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPIs, Standard Work, and Problem Solving.
  • Complete job‑related company training courses.
  • Work overtime if necessary and perform any other task assigned by supervisor.
Non‑Essential Functions
  • Participate in internal/external audits.
  • Perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Repair or rework defective or returned assemblies.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including basic software use.
  • Accurate color vision, near vision, and depth perception.
  • Finger and manual dexterity with adept hand‑eye coordination and arm‑hand steadiness.
  • Ability to interpret production or engineering prints, planning information, and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to work in a high‑pace, high‑volume environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; fine soldering certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Position may require access to controlled data; only U.S. persons will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
  • IPC Soldering and/or Rework/Repair Certification.
  • Maintenance experience on a stringent calibration schedule.
  • Designated Inspection certification.
  • Ability to interpret operation sequences from sketches and oral instructions.

Salary Range

$22.26 to $27.45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for performance‑based bonus programs.
