Job summary

SAIC is seeking an Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer Senior to support NSWC Crane and the JCREW program. You will develop signal processing algorithms, waveforms, and mission-load content for communications, networking, and EW systems, and implement and test concepts in software for RF/EW applications.

Responsibilities include RF protocol analysis, waveform evaluation, diagnostic testing, and collaboration with OEMs and government engineers to drive system performance and verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of RF engineering, signal processing, waveform development, SDR, or EW systems experience.
• Strong experience in signal processing, RF protocol analysis, and waveform development.
• Experience with software concepts in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
• Experience with RF test equipment and RF theory; evaluating waveforms and signal behavior.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop signal processing algorithms, waveforms, and mission-load content for communications, networking, and EW systems.
• Design, model, implement, and test algorithm concepts through software for RF and EW applications.
• Perform analysis of RF communication protocols and signal behaviors to support mission development.
• Develop, test, and deliver RF signal solutions for Navy EW systems.
• Use spectrum analyzers and RF test equipment to evaluate waveforms and signal characteristics.
• Conduct analysis of Navy EW systems and support diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Support unit, subsystem, and system-level testing for EW systems, including test prep and execution.
• Coordinate system updates and configuration changes with OEMs and engineering teams.
• Maintain and update technical documentation supporting CM, test execution, and software changes.
• Support broader software engineering and test activities aligned to the SOW.
