Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Salt Lake City seeks a Senior Specialist in EW and Communications Analysis Design Engineering. The role focuses on DoD programs, analyzing and designing communications and EW systems with emphasis on FPGA/VHDL, MATLAB, and C++.

The candidate will work in a 9/80 schedule and contribute to end-to-end system solutions. Qualifications include a BSEE (6+ yrs), MSEE (4+ yrs) or PhD (2+ yrs), and DoD secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in engineering with advanced coursework in communications/EW.
• Advanced degree preferred for higher seniority
• Security clearance (DoD) required or able to obtain: DoD Secret

Responsibilities

• Provide technical knowledge in communications and EW for DoD programs and joint research.
• Design experience in architecture, FPGA, VHDL/Verilog, MATLAB or C++/C# is a plus.
• Support architecture, analysis, simulation and documentation for high-rate communication systems.

L3Harris is seeking a Communications Analysis and/or an Electronic Warfare Engineer to provide technical knowledge and expertise in the area of communications systems and EW for DoD programs and joint research programs.

Qualifications:

• BSEE and 6+ years experience, MSEE and 4+ years experience, or PhD and 2+ years required

• DOD Secret Security Clearance

• Architecture, FPGA, VHDL, MATLAB, or C++/C# design experience is a plus

• Experience in simulation, synthesis, and placement software tools such as ModelSim, Synplicity, Xilinx Vivado / ISE and/or Altera Quartus development tool sets.

• Experience in laboratory debug techniques using digital scopes, logic analyzers, BERTS, and other complex measurement devices.

• FPGA Design using High-speed serial interfaces (3+ Gbps)

• Familiarity with code revision management tools such as Git/Clearcase.

• Familiarity with C/C++/C# and Matlab/Simulink .
