Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an Electronics Technician Maintenance III to independently plan and perform maintenance on complex intrusion detection systems, including video, access control, RADAR, and mass notification equipment.

The role requires expertise across multiple manufacturers and networking environments. The candidate will test systems, analyze results, and implement design improvements while leading a small team of technicians.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Eight years hands-on electronics experience with maintenance/leadership roles.
  • Ability to obtain Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems.
  • Test systems, analyze results, and modify installations to improve performance.
  • Use basic tools (multimeter, screwdrivers, pliers) for field service activities.
  • Support service contract requirements and coordinate with teams as needed.

Job description

Job Summary

This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems. You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks.

Roles and Responsibilities

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturers Recommend solutions to design problems. Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance. Must possess basic hand tools such as: Multimeter, Screwdriver, pliers and associated basic electrical / electronics maintenance and repair tools. Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. High school diploma or equivalent. Must have as a minimum, eight (8) years hands-on experience in the field of electronics. Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments. Must not be de-barred from military installations.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school. Previous Intrusion Detection / Access Control System experience. Microsoft Office suite Certification. Have a working knowledge of multiple systems to include: AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systems DMP alarm monitor and reporting systems FLIR RADARs and cameras Genetec NVRs Pelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchers Networking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivity Windows Servers Cisco Switches Fiber communication equipment WAVES MNS MS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus.
