TDXi, a subsidiary of Tanadgusix Corporation (TDX), is seeking an Electronic Technician/ACMI at Eielson AFB, Alaska. This full-time position reports to the Site Manager and supports Air Combat Training System (ACTS) services.

The role requires basic to advanced technical knowledge, ability to interpret manuals, and a focus on fault detection and maintenance of radar, radio, and related circuits. US citizenship and a security clearance eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in technical field or equivalent vocational/military training.
  • Proficient with test equipment used in maintaining these systems including oscilloscope, RF and AF signal generators, voltmeters, and distortion analyzers.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

  • Function in the dual capacity of operator-maintainer to safely operate and maintain fully functional systems for maximum training and mission effectiveness.
  • Exercise independent judgment and apply understanding of circuit interrelationships during tasking like circuit analyses and tracing signal flow.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge for preventive and corrective maintenance per directives and re-establish systems after movements and deployments.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the use of complex test instruments for calibration and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and safety programs and provide guidance to lower level technicians.

JOB SUMMARY

This position, located at Eielson AFB, Alaska, applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities of this position include, but is not limited to:

  • Function in the dual capacity of operator-maintainer to safely and realistically operate and maintain fully functional systems, equipment or circuits (such as radar, radio, telecommunication, video) for maximum training and mission effectiveness supporting combat force training
  • Exercise independent judgment and apply detailed understanding of the interrelationships of circuits while performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge while performing preventive and corrective maintenance action for safe, serviceable and properly configured systems; this includes actions to inspect, service, align/adjust/calibrate, prevent/control corrosion, modify/upgrade equipment and documentation IAW approved directives, and re-establish systems after movements and deployments, as well as solve complex problems through fault detection/troubleshooting/isolation, repair, removing and reinstalling.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the use of complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment.
  • Work may be reviewed by supervisor for general compliance with accepted practices. This position may provide technical guidance to lower level technicians
  • Ensure compliance with TDXiQuality Control and Safety Programs
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program manager
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate degree in technical field or equivalent Vocational/Military training
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficient with test equipment used in maintaining these systems including oscilloscope, RF and AF signal generators, voltmeters, and distortion analyzers
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience
Additional Requirements
  • US Citizen // Secret Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
  • Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Must be able to lift 70lbs overhead
  • Ability to read, analyze, and apply knowledge of both electrical and mechanical schematics

  • Applicants must be able to exercise independent judgment, demonstrate knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices, interpret circuit diagrams and understand circuit interrelationships, perform circuit analyses, calculate wave forms, and trace relationships in signal flow, as well as demonstrate knowledge in the use of complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment
  • Must be able to troubleshoot to the component level
  • Must demonstrate ability to monitor, troubleshoot, and repair communications circuits to include analog and digital microwave radios, multiplexing equipment, data circuits and modems
