Job summary

Job description

Job Overview

A Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems Technician – Level 3 in Promontory, UT is responsible for responding to corrective maintenance work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting plant-wide electronic and electrical equipment. This role works a 4/10 schedule, with every Friday off, and involves a rotating graves/days schedule approximately every eight weeks.


Responsibilities


  • Respond to corrective maintenance work orders input through Maximo.

  • Use troubleshooting skills to fix equipment.

  • Act with urgency and leverage other crafts and supervision when needed.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment before due dates.

  • Order parts and document work.

  • Work under a 4/10 schedule and rotating graves/days schedule.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years of additional education and/or related experience.

  • Knowledge of electronics and electrical theory, including Ohm’s Law.

  • No clearance required to start.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Applied Associate’s Degree or BS degree in electronics or technology.

  • Pristine knowledge of LOTO protocols.

  • Electrical controls and process troubleshooting, PLC wiring, installation, basic programming/comms, & troubleshooting.

  • VFD set up, installation, troubleshooting.

  • Circuit board basic troubleshooting.

  • Source, simulate, measure, troubleshoot 4-20 & 0-10 signals.

  • HART Protocol via Fluke 754 and/or open-source programs via computers.

  • RTDs and TC simulation and troubleshooting, 0-24VDC, 120AC, 480AC competence and troubleshooting.

  • 5S and quality management systems.

  • Fire alarm system knowledge, radio equipment competency.

  • Knowledge of HVAC, hydraulics & pneumatics, CNC equipment, and/or X-ray equipment.

  • Curiosity about Northrop Grumman Space Sector developments.
