Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Rolling Meadows, IL is seeking a 2nd Shift Electronic Technician 2 to support the IRCM cell with testing, troubleshooting, and data collection on production hardware.

The role requires reading schematics, using test equipment, and maintaining strict adherence to processes and safety standards. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are necessary.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and at least 2 years of electronics experience.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, multi-meters, current sensors, and probes.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
• Preferred: Associate degree in electronic technology or related field or military electronics training.
• Experience with SAP MES and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts or written plans to perform routine testing and troubleshooting.
• Conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation on production hardware to ensure design conformance.
• Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
• Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
• Use routine development or diagnostic equipment like oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators and similar test apparatus.
